About Me

I have always been a creative person.  As a child, I would stay home from family vacations to redecorate my room or work on a project.  My parents joke that I was switched at birth because there is no artistic ability in either one of them.  I really give credit to all my high school art teachers.  I have dabbled in just about all art forms – painting, jewelry, interior design, metal working, altered art, etc – but my focus for years has been glass lampwork beadmaking.  If you have never heard of them, its basically glass blowing in miniature form without the blowing part.  I have taken a short detour from beadmaking to try something new.

I happened upon youtube videos of card making tutorials and was really intrigued.  I gathered supplies and made my first card in early 2010 and was hooked.  I really love making useful items and hope my cards will be used to put a smile on someone’s face and my blog to possibly  inspire, entertain, and teach others.  Please enjoy!
