Christmas Card :: Christmas Tree Using SVG/SCAL2
Last semester in college, one of my classes was using Adobe Illustrator. It’s a program that I had always wanted to learn but never could get the hang of it. I know Photoshop well it always eluded me. I was very excited to finally learn it and thought I would put it to good use. I designed the SVG file in Illustrator and it includes the tree base, tree layer, garland, 2 different shaped ornaments, star, and three different size presents with ribbon and bows.
I then imported the file into Sure Cuts A Lot 2. If you don’t have Sure Cuts A Lot for use with your Cricut cutting machine, I have a link on the lower left side bar. I have the project file set up for approximately an standard sized card. I am offering it available for free for anyone that would like it. I would appreciate it if you would subscribe to my YouTube and/or add yourself to my Google Friend Connect. You can find the files on the SVG/SCAL blog page to download along with my loafer file.
The paper used for this set is the My Mind’s Eye Lost & Found Christmas.

Corset Cart with Insert
I really had this card in my mind for quite some time, so I sat one evening and designed the base in Photoshop and made an SVG for Sure Cuts A Lot and am so glad I took the time because I really love it and it will make such cute cards. I have added the file for sale in the store of course along with our stamps. I have another cut I plan on making a new card with tomorrow or Tuesday. Its just the corset with no insert – a slightly different shape. I video taped my card making for you to see. Take a look.

new blog page – free svg file for Sure Cuts A Lot
The last few days I have been kind of under the weather and dealing with some random person that stole my husband’s check card number. What an ordeal. We still have not gotten the funds back in our account. I mean, what random overseas person orders Precious Moments trying to jack a person out of their cash. That’s what they did.
Anyway, while I was sitting here, I had a million ideas running through my head. Two of them I finally got to check off my list. DONE – DONE – DONE as Steve Watson used to say on the now canceled Monster House series. I got my etsy shop open. I am selling my cards locally but one can only sell so many cards, so I have put my extras in my etsy shop. I have more to add but its a start. I put the little mini shop link in the side bar.
I also started a free SVG/PDF cut file page for Sure Cuts a Lot users. I am not sure if they can be used in the Cricut software as I went right to SCAL. I have quite a few ideas and files already done and will be adding them as I go. First one is the men’s loafer which I used for a cute Father’s Day Card.
I think my dad will like the card. I wanted to keep it pretty simple as my father is not a frilly sort of guy and the card is quite masculine. My next svg file will be for a chunky heeled shoe. Its super cute. If your interested in downloading the cut file, click on the tab above or under the SVG page on the right in the side bar.
Anyway, I leave you tonight with my sweetie. I got my flickr pro account back working again so I got access to a lot of my old images. Isn’t he just adorable. LOL. My little human. I can’t say it out loud but he is the chosen one.
